‘Reasonable Selfishness’

In my work with senior executive leaders I keep coming across people who are driven by deep-rooted notions of service, duty, self-sacrifice, and obligation to help others.

I know that such seemingly altruistic or selfless behaviours do not fit the comfortable stereotype of the senior leader as someone who operates with foul intent, driven only by their own narrow, self absorbed and self serving agenda.
